The new Halo™ R4000 family of sensors deliver the same full spectrum triaxial vibration, temperature, and magnetic data which currently drive our AI and machine learning algorithms. With our new sensor, we continue to deliver Machine Health as a service via an end-to-end solution with no changes in customer actions or outcomes.
Augury provides manufacturers and other industrial sectors with insights into the health of machines, processes, and operations to transform how people work and what they can create. Together with our customers, we are building a world where the combined work of people and machines makes life better in every way.
The new Halo™ R4000 sensor series is designed for non-hazardous, and wet environment support. It has also been redesigned with a smaller and lighter form factor, for easier installation and maintenance. It has the same robust water and dust protection as previous sensors (IP 66/68/69), along with enhanced water ingress protection for wet and extremely wet environments. The Halo™ R4000 series comes with more battery options, making it easier than ever to order battery replacements. Otherwise, you will get an identical Machine Health experience as the sensors will deliver the same full spectrum triaxial vibration, temperature, and magnetic flux data as our older sensors.
The following sensors will be used in new installations and to replace non-functional older sensors (non-functional due to reasons other than a depleted battery) starting H2 2024:
Absolutely – all existing sensors will continue to be supported until they reach their end of life (when battery or replacement kits are no longer available); at which point they will be replaced with Halo™ R4000 sensors.
The Halo™ R4000 NHZ is rated up to IP66, IP68 & IP69 – which means it has been tested for protection against strong water jets as well as water ingress, up to and including complete submersion below one meter and for more than 30 minutes.
There are not many products out there that can score higher. However, the Augury team went a step further to enhance water protection even more by sealing the Halo™ R4000 NHZ with an O-Ring which significantly improves protection against water ingress in dynamic wet environments (typically areas with 100% humidity or heavy wash down areas).
Yes – we are working on additional sensor variants that have very high water resistance protection for areas that experience constant high humidity or constant wash downs ; more details will be provided when these sensors are available.
IP ratings are not a scale – higher does not mean better. Each IP rating is unique.:
Based on what customers have required – we have chosen to get IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings – but most importantly – decided to go a step further and add an O-Ring seal for enhanced protection in extremely wet environments based on customer feedback and site-testing.
The R4000 NHZ uses batteries supplied by multiple battery manufacturers. This means that there are more options for ordering battery replacements (i.e. you are not restricted to a single manufacturer). This expansion in supply means that we can order replacements more easily, with shorter lead times. Batteries are interchangeable.
The Halo™ R4000 sensor is designed to be backwards compatible with all other Halo™ sensors – and hence can be easily integrated with existing Halo installations in a site (for e.g. when replacing sensors).
Augury’s Machine Health as a Service is designed to deliver the same quality of diagnostics regardless of the type of sensor used. As part of this end to end service, we will continue to partner with your site team to service and maintain all sensor and IoT infrastructure. In the event that your sensors are non-functional we will work with your team to determine the cause and perform one or more of the following remediations:
