Steve Korver

Steve is Augury.com’s blog editor. He’s also an award-winning (screen-/ghost-) writer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. As a happy generalist, he’s covered food, drink, AI, healthcare, travel, and clean supply chains. As a journalist, he has written and edited many travel guidebooks and contributed to publications such as New York Times, Guardian, Time Out, McSweeney’s Quarterly, Wallpaper, Conde Nast Traveller, and The Globe & Mail. As a copywriter, he’s worked on international communication campaigns and projects for Amnesty, City of Amsterdam, Diesel, ECCO, Fatboy, Heineken, IKEA, Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and TomTom. Between 2012 and 2017, he was a founding editor at the multiple-award-winning online platform Love Matters – where he also wrote the column ‘Sex in the Press.’ Previously, he was editor-in-chief of the alternative cultural paper Amsterdam Weekly for 175 issues and 14 European Newspaper Awards. In the future, he hopes to finish the ultimate books on Amsterdam, Yuri Gagarin, and the complexities of human relationships. And yes, he’s a Family Guy Married with Children.
