New survey points to the need for better monitoring of critical assets
Food and beverage manufacturers have seen extraordinary pressures and changes as a result of the pandemic—some of them temporary and some of them translating into permanent changes in the way the industry does business.
In January 2022, Food Processing and Augury undertook a survey to explore issues such as supply chain disruptions, labor issues and unplanned downtime. When asked “What is your biggest risk to meeting production targets?”, plant floor respondents said unexpected equipment failures were the biggest threat.
